About

Hi. My name is Henny. I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker in the field for over 9 years. I have experiences loss of multiple loved ones. In the summer of 2003, my mother and her parents died in a tragic care accident. All 3 of their funerals were on the same day. It was extremely overwhelming. I was only 17 at that time. Now I am happily married for over 10 years and have 4 beautiful children. I find that when dealing with grief word choice is sensitive. Do we really learn to move on? Do we really overcome the grief? So I'll just use the safe word, I've learned to COPE with their deaths, find happiness and some inner peace. We never fully forget. Do we even want to? And how can we when there are constantly reminders of their absence. My twin girls are named after my mom and grandmother. It's bitter sweet but I've trained myself to let it feel more sweet than bitter. That's me in the tiniest nut shell.
